Waiting in the Margins
A documentary about Lava-Dansproduktion's project "Waiting in the Margins" in Georgia 2015.
Waiting in the Margins is a project in which Benno Voorham, a Swedish based choreographer, created an inter-disciplinairy performance with a group of actors, dancers and a visual artist from Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Syria and a group of youngsters that live in IDP-camps in Georgia. Youngsters that were forced to leave their homes in South-Ossetia, together with their families, during the last Russian-Georgian war in 2008. The documentary shows the making of the performance, which toured Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova extensively in 2015.

Tinus Kramer is a documentary filmmaker and videographer, living in Amsterdam. Since 1987 she works in the field of filmmaking. In the early years as researcher for independent documentaries, later as a producer, director for Dutch television: current affairs, youth programmes and documentary portraits. (1992-2005).
In 2005 Tinus lived for 3 years in Sudan where she made several short films for NGO’s on development issues. Camera and editing became new skills to develop.
After return in the Netherlands she founded Krater Produkties. She continues to make documentaries and short films with special interest for the Middle East, Horn of Africa, Culture, Youth and Refugees. In 2013 she produced ‘Moving Stills’, a documentary about the Dutch photographer Kadir van Lohuizen, which was screened at several national- and international festival.
‘To compose a personal story in a broader perspective, that is what I find interesting about my profession as filmmaker. Style is essential for me. Images and sound should flesh out the content in an original way. Social commitment is an important pillar of my work.’
