Red Dirt Woman

Red Dirt Woman is a thriller set in the most rural town in America that is surrounded by oceans of public lands. Brie, a Russian-born ultra-runner and social activist goes missing and the elected officials are no help finding her. Brie's chivalrous husband, Charles, is clueless where to look for Brie in the desert. Charles recruits sarcastic Ben to search Brie's possible running routes with Ben's impulsive dog Wilbur. After enduring falling into a deep escape-less water hole, hyperthermia, earthquakes, fires, Charles wants to be the one rescued. Meanwhile, Brie's foot is trapped under a boulder in a sandy wash that becomes a flash flood and Brie is flushed to an outback meth cooking shack. Captured by the tweeters, Brie escapes after an earthquake, which causes an explosion and fires. Preserving their western culture, the Mayor and Sheriff proceed with their mining and ranching agendas that has set off rock avalanches and then earthquakes. The elected officials are convinced they are under attack from the federal government and special interest groups and will do anything to preserve their way of life.
