Become God

A surrealist mystery film that refracts the present and blurs real pasts with imagined ones. Over the past year, Celeste had been increasingly involved with an underground, shadowy religious movement. Her behavior had become erratic and reclusive, especially towards her girlfriend, Ryan.

Until she vanished.

Now, desperate to track her down, Ryan joins the same religious group, headed by the mysterious Whisper. But will Ryan fall under their sway just like Celeste?

Director Biography - Evander Lang

Evander Lang was a poet before he was a filmmaker. He studied poetry for nearly his entire academic career, and submitted poems with recipes and multiple-choice quizzes in them to literary journals (whose editors, it must be said, rather underperformed on the questions). He read at a conference or two. He’s self-taught as a filmmaker.

Nevertheless, in the few short years since he left school and dove headlong into filmmaking, he’s put together a body of work that includes crew assignments on an Emmy Award-winning reality show (Top Chef), a Peabody Award-winning drama (The Leftovers), and a Best Picture winner (Spotlight), along with the forthcoming Bleed For This (starring Miles Teller) and the truly singular Lo And Behold: Reveries Of The Connected World, in which Werner Herzog discusses computers.

Become God is his first feature film.
