For the Love of Music
For the Love of Music” is an intimate look at the celebrated Sooke Philharmonic Orchestra, a group of passionate
community players led by the legendary Norman Nelson. Join us as we explore the origins of the SPO, the players
reverence for orchestral music, their outreach efforts to mentor local youth, and the orchestra’s relevance within this
small West Coast town. Follow them as they ready themselves for the most elaborate concert program in the organization’s
20-year history - the ‘Solstice Spectacular’.
