Director Biography - Evelien van Raaij

Evelien van Raaij was born in the Den Bosch area of The Netherlands in 1990. She learned to be a camera operator at the Koning Willem 1 College in Den Bosch and interned at the local network Boschtion Media, where she worked as camera operator, editor and producer. In 2010, she started her education at Enschede's Saxion University, following the Media, Information and Communication course. She graduated in 2014 and now lives near Den Bosch, where she works in marketing and video production.

'First Date' is all about not letting expectations define your behavior. As the film progresses, each character learns to let go of their fears and just be themselves.
