Director Statement

Yang Li was born in 1959 in Xian, China. He is a writer and director, known for Mang jing (2003), Blind Mountain (2007) and Zhì qu weihu shan (2014).
Li's films always show his deep sympathy for the low class of China. He captures their pain, suffering, and problems they must face everyday. He hopes by doing so, his audience will be awoken by the harsh reality that many choose to ignore or shy away.
