The New York love affair of California native, to David Moriya, story is essential. Having little to no budget on each of his films, creativity flourishes to find solutions to every situation. By starting with the vision of the edit, David writes the story to direct and shoot the image the way the story needs to be told, but working in collaboration and considering other ideas is all about the process of creativity as a team. As a street photographer, David creates moments of reality into a still frame, but juxtaposing millions of frames is how David expresses himself through story.
The idea for this film was based on Moliere's Don Juan. Through Improv Filmmaking and two afternoon shoots, Hugo Fowler and I took my 5D MKIII and shot this on our own. We spent no more than $20 for pizza, ice cream, and soda pop as props.
