GRACE BAEK is a filmmaker and media consultant with a passion for stories that daylight vital global health, human rights, and environmental issues. She lived in Southeast Asia while investigating Thailand's oppressive migrant and refugee policies, and worked alongside Burmese human rights groups living in political exile. Footage filmed and smuggled out of Burma by these groups is woven into her documentary, The Black Zone.
Based in Los Angeles, Grace's work includes coverage of homelessness and the housing crisis in Los Angeles, the HIV epidemic in India, women, microfinance, and the Grameen Bank, global warming, and displacement in Bangladesh, among others. Her work has aired on Current TV, A&E, Travel Channel, ABC, and CBS.
