Mike Breyer is a versatile actor, writer, producer and director as well as the CEO of Frogg1 Productions. He received his BS degree from the University of South Dakota in 1993. Mike's first movie appearance was in the 1992 film "Thunderheart" which was filmed in South Dakota while Mike was working at Mt. Rushmore.
Mike has also appeared in movies such as "Ed Wood", "S.F.W.", "Prank", "Skin Props", and a co-starring role as Jake in the feature film "Dream State". Mike has also been featured on Television shows such as "Picket Fences" on CBS and "Players" on NBC. Mike has appeared on the stage in the productions of "The Phantom of the Opera" as Dr. Debienne and as Michael in "Fame".
Mike co-starred in the short film "Southern DysComfort" as the creepy butler Kennedy Gamble. Mike was asked to reprise his role as Kennedy Gamble to star in the feature film "Fake". Mike started to do his own movies with his production company by starring in the short film "Lock Box" as Robert Bynum DesChamps. Mike recently played Steven in the short film "Addiction" and Tony in the feature film "The Remake" as well as playing Rhett Dabler in "The Admired".
Mike made his directorial debut in "Koffee" and also starred as Joe Cupta. Mike starred and directed again as Anthony Joseph in the short film "Inosculation" and is gearing up to direct and star as Lucrative Street in the feature film "Gradation".
Mike just finished starring and directing "Cascade Rd" which filmed in South Dakota where it all began. Mike is returning to shoot the feature film Cascade Road in late 2017. Look out for "Five Floors" in 2017 where Mike stars as The Devil and continues on his acting, directorial and writing journey. Mike took a break from the entertainment business to go to design school at UCLA Extension in 2001 and returned with the movie "Dream State".
Mike lived in West Hollywood CA from 1993 until moving to Palm Springs in 2014.
My first movie role was in Thunderheart filmed in the Black Hills area of South Dakota. I grew up there and lived in Los Angeles until 2014 eventually moving to Palm Springs.
I always wanted to go back and shoot a movie there because of the beautiful scenery and the friendliness of the people. My father has a great old car collection and I wanted to film something which could showcase parts of that collection.
That's what we did with Cascade Rd. My father's 1915 Studebaker was not available so we used one of his others. A little newer but the same color.
I used a small cast (we the producers) because I wanted the scenery to star as well. I really enjoyed this project throughout. In addition, besides acting and directing, I like editing because when I shoot, I always have the edit in my head and it makes putting the film together much easier. Moreover, my parents really do live on Cascade Rd.
Thanks for watching this film.
