BNG is an acronym for BRAND NEW GENERATION. The sound of the group could best be described as “Urban Afrocentric”. The forerunners of the group are Patrick, Nosa and Daro.
The name stems from the philosophy of the group:
“ God using a peculiar BRAND of people to do something NEW in this GENERATION”.

Since the inception of the group they have set out to be ambassadors of the good news, communicating the message in their uncompromised lyrics, sound and style.

Daro and Nosa met with Patrick in 1995 at a teenage group called Agape force in Benin City, Nigeria, where they got together later in 1996 to form the group BNG. Patrick was the groups first producer and mentored them in various aspects of music production.The group later relocated to Lagos Nigeria. In 2014 Patrick retired from active involvement in the group.

The members of BNG are all graduates in various disciplines, Daro has a Diploma in computer science and a degree in Business Administration and Nosa has a degree in Fine and Applied Arts. Daro and Nosa are married to lovely wives and have all been blessed with lovely kids.

Early in their Musical career they were featured in a musical tour tagged Music and Miracles, sharing the stage with international recording artiste Marvin Winans. Their first album ‘Na God’ was released in 2000 and was a massive success the album prominently featured Mike Aremu.

BNG toured around Nigeria, various ministries, university campuses, and internationally the United Kingdom. They were also invited to the United Kingdom to perform at The Festival of Life Convention (NXGen) and performed brilliantly with amazing reviews.

In 2009 BNG released their second album titled ‘Carry Weight’. The album was produced by Patrick Edwards, Efe Ubefe for DH Music UK, and John Arheghan for scroll productions Nashville, Tennessee USA. The album “carry weight” features prominent gospel group Midnight Crew.

BNG went on to start a multi-media company BNG Innovates ltd. The companies’ primary offerings are Audio-visual production, photography, Graphic design and Music production. BNG has produced state of the art, world class Documentaries, TV Shows, Commercials and Music videos for several notable Nigerian artistes including Nomoreloss, Righteous Man, Midnight Crew, Obishine, Mike Aremu, Modele, Eben, Jadhiel, Ibitayo, to mention a few.

The group has also collaborated with British based Artistes FaithChild, Karl Nova and Shabach.

They also responsible for shooting all of their music videos, some of which have received awards and nominations both internationally and locally. BNG was also responsible for producing the Hit TV production in the UK called “Set Him Off”. “Set Him Off” was a music and lifestyle TV show.

One of their notable singles “No 4get” got a nomination at Nigerian music video awards in 2007 for most popular video aired on TV. It was also consistently #1 for 3 weeks on the MTN Sound-city music top ten count down and it stayed on the top ten for a total of 10 weeks.

BNG has consistently been nominated in the SSMA from 2010-2013 with a total of 9 nominations and has won 4 awards in total. The group has also received nominations in the AGMA held in the UK. BNG also got four nominations and won two awards in the 2013 NGMVA. BNG has currently being nominated for the prestigious KORA awards 2016.

In line with their vision, BNG has created a platform to promote and encourage other gospel artistes called JAM NATION. The platform has positioned itself to become Africa’s biggest platform for Christian Entertainment.

Already, JAM NATION has a monthly live show called JAM SESSION where people come in and watch artistes perform with a live band. The show has received an incredible response from people and a lot of fresh talents have been discovered. The JAM NATION TV and Radio show has also been launched under this initiative.

BNG has currently commenced work on a new album and have started releasing singles. “MANY THINGS” is one of such singles and a music video has been released under the title.
