Ilias Walchshofer is an Austrian/Moroccan artist who was born in Linz in 1991 and is now based in Berlin. Since graduating from Berliner Technische Kunsthochschule with a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Design in October 2015, he has been working in film/video production and for his art studio DR.PROPOLUS.
The short GIVE was my final project for my B.A. degrees in Motion Design in October 2015.
The movie founds on the term "pozzen" or "pozzing" which describes the act of getting willingly/knowingly infected with HIV.
The reasons for this are different: some so it out of love to their partner, some for the sexual tension other out of financial reasons.
Nethertheless, the main character in this short infects people to give other people the same "suffering" and "pain" he has to go through, thinking that his future was stolen from him and that this is the only way to leave a mark on this world.
