South London born director Joseph Wright has established an aesthetic which although grounded in reality offers fantasy and escape.
His work, heavily influenced by the history of cinema, design and art is bold and often dark in style. Creating beautifully emotive sequences which use a multiple of techniques and mediums.
Now based Berlin.
We wanted to explore the emotional connection between space and memory and how these effect each other. Memory, is very much a constructed reality, based on all the senses at the time, it is not photographic but organic, continually adapting and changing each time the memory is accessed. This informed our approach to the film, a memory that is evolving.
