I MAKE ART & NON ART
What is Art? There is a language beyond a specific tool? How does the photography and film intersect and change the way of making art since the 60s? Luca Maria Patella (1934), the renowned international artist, goes beyond the strict academic divisions through the free use of multimedia languages and lands to an art that becomes a mirror of the past and of the future, offering a vision of a brand new world, ironic, illusionistic constantly changing.

Born in Molfetta (in the province of Bari-Italy), Zaza graduated in philosophy from the Università la Sapienza, Rome, and holds a diploma in Bioethics from the University of Geneva. After her university studies she entered the world of the theatre as assistant director of Memè Perlini ( famous for his experimental work during the 1970s and 1980s) and Patrick Rossi Gastaldi. During this period she also collaborated with the Napoli Teatro Festival Italia and the Todi Arte Festival, participated in technical workshops and directed a number of one-act plays. 2012 marked her directorial debut at the Teatro dell’Orologio in Rome with Come tu mi vuoi, a show inspired by a collective exploration of the existential uncertainties of contemporary working life and that garnered critical and public acclaim. As an actress she has also appeared in plays, readings and television mini-series (“Moana” produced by Sky and Polivideo). Always fascinated by cinema, art and the poetry of images, in 2010 she specialised in cinematography at the New York Film Academy and frequented Marco Bellocchio’s masterclass in film direction. She writes subjects for advertising campaigns and texts of art exhibitions.
