Film “TARAZ” is the fourth feature film that is written, directed and produced by Nurtas Adam, NurtasPro (c), 2016.
However, first three films of his were commercial films for cinema halls' release, while this film is serious and sad.
Nurtas Adam is a scriptwriter, film director and film producer as well as film actor. He has beaten box-office records in national (Kazakhstan) theatrical release with his films: “Bride Sabina”, “Village Escape”, “Bride Sabina2”.
The box-office of “Bride Sabina” is $ 2.200.000 in 16 weeks of being in the cinema halls on the verge of 2014 and first quarter of 2015. Hitting 4.900.000 youtube views just in one year from the 27th of June 2015 to 26th of July 2016, Nurtas is the most popular individual and showman in Kazakhstan.
“Village Escape” collected the box-office of $ 1.550.802 in 12 weeks of being in the cinema halls in Kazakhstan, in 2015. The youtube views already reached 1.130.000 as of today, 29th of July 2016.
“Bride Sabina2” collected the box-office of $ 1.156.250 in 12 weeks of being in the cinema halls in Kazakhstan in 2016. The film is not available on youtube yet.
This fall, we are planning to release film “Taraz” in the cinema halls nationally.
Film “Taraz” directed by Nurtas Adambay. This film is about my hometown Taraz, Southern part of Kazakhstan. I have been nurturing the idea of filming in the city I was born and grew up in, since childhood.
