Set in the near future, this Dystopian silent film portrays a dying society filled with hope and loss, where reading is outlawed and violence a reality. Director Jevon Miller brings to life a dying society filled with hope and loss in what is a reality to some and possible future for many.

Director Biography - Jevon Miller

It started at a young age with Jevon aka Superman watching television wanting to be like his favorite action stars like George Reeves (Adventures of Superman), Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Lee... He acted them out at home but was too shy to do them in front of others. He wrote poetry as a kid and in his 20s started performing them on stage. Next he started modeling and after that stage plays. All of which helped him get out of his shy shell so he would be ready for the next level...
In 2008 Jevon booked his first role on his first audition for the film Tekken. That year he book the role in the independent short film You Better Run which in 2010 earned him his best supporting actor award in the San Diego Black Film Festival. He went on to play in a Scyfy channel film Mandrake and the action packed film Dragon Eyes starring Jean Claude Van Damme.
3 years ago he stepped behind and in front of the camera with 2 short films called Burdens and Turning Point and this year he wishes to touch as many as possible with his new short film Freedom of Knowledge.

Director Statement

This Film is a statement about society and what happens when choice is taken away by lack of knowledge and understanding. Control over a people can come easy if a person does not understand, seek, and learn. By letting others control the information around you, by giving up on your opportunity for knowledge, a person gives up "self" and the "individual". One person can make a difference. One thought or action is a ripple across our reality. It is the Freedom of Knowledge that allows this for all people and the lack of that which enslaves and diminishes who we are and what we can become.
