Prehistoric Resurrection
Prehistoric Resurrection was inspired by the idea of ‘resurrection biology’ and a collection of crane-related folklore, poems, fossils and historical references.
This 3Danimated and live-action short visually connects prehistoric references to crane survival and longevity through the beauty of movement and the tools of technology.
The live-action footage was filmed during the Spring migration season along the Platte River in Nebraska. The Platte River is a vital ecosystem that cranes and other wildlife depend on for survival.
