Hop Sing's War
A Chinese immigrant and his daughter, working on the Transcontinental Railroad being built through the California desert in 1879, must retrieve the wages of their co-workers, which were stolen. They write to the Great Dowager Empress of China, requesting her help. She sends her mighty Imperial Navy to the shores of America to defend her loyal subjects and hold the city of Monterey hostage until the money is returned. Unfortunately, the fleet arrives on the morning of July 4th and the situation is further complicated by the language barrier. The Americans believe that the Chinese have arrived to honor and celebrate America's Independence Day as the volatile confrontation unfolds.
