Ian Grygotis is an animator and illustrator from upstate New York. By putting characters in enclosed spaces and unstable mental states, his films explore anxiety, depression, and social isolation with an analytical sense of humor. While he animates primarily with graphite, he has used a wide variety of media in his films, including digital paint, paper cutouts, and even balloons. When not animating or drawing, Ian enjoys acting in theater, reading, and playing video games. His favorite films include Scream, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and It’s Such a Beautiful Day.
