Private Project

TAKING TIME

A lonely old clockmaker faces a series of ordeals as he realises his time is running out.

Six screenwriters submit a page of script each, and the result is an experimental scriptwriting experience.

Can writers create a genuinely collaborative script/film without any of them taking over? Is it possible to tell a story without a single authorial voice, central storyline and core question or goal at its heart? This film shows the challenges and opportunities of working ‘outside the box’ and suggests some useful lessons going forward.
