Director Statement

Flies, as a visual element of the movie, span the subjective world of the characters with our realistic perspectives. It is the darkness that hides the faults, but when the switch is on, divine intervention occurs and brings atonement. As for the two characters, this means punishment. Thus, it can now make sense the presence of the flies, which in fact were always there, carrying the brutal truth. It has always been human's choice to ignore them or not to believe in their existence.
