Director Statement

My Work is called "Detroitexploitation" or "Detroitexploitation Funk/Cinema". It is "Underground Experimental Animation" with a Detroit Funk Soundtrack. Detroitexploitation Funk/Cinema is influenced by My Dreams/Nightmares/Visions, Grindhouse Cinema/Exploitation Cinema, Graffiti, African Art, Kaiju Eiga, Monster Movies, Funk, Electronic Music, Soul Cinema, The Black Experience, Street/Underground Culture and of course Detroit. In general, "Detroitexploitation" is influenced by everything around me. My Work is in a constant state of Evolution which reflects my Personality (for I am also constantly growing and evolving). A lot of my Films are of a Social Commentary/Satire nature. All of the Films are about Detroit.

The Work is in a constant "State of Flow" and it's "Creative Techniques" are "a Secret". I use Resources and Media from the Past, Present and Future. The Future Techniques would be best described as pushing my work and myself into areas that are "Out of the Box" and Undiscovered. I am constantly studying and working, perfecting my craft and taking my work to greater levels. My work is a Multi-Media Experience which involves all of the Senses of the Mind, Body, Soul and Spirit.
