Director Biography - Keith Brofsky

As a commercial still photographer for over thirty-five years, it was within the last seven that I decided to move into motion pictures. I've serviced many Fortune 500 companies, traveling the world in pursuit of pictures for my clients. This project was probably one of my most challenging on every level, which makes the outcome all the sweeter.

Director Statement

This is my debut short documentary film. I'm particularly proud to tell the story of one woman's grit and determination, to save the unique and endangered endemic species on the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. This year marks her tenth anniversary, started on Vashon Island, WA. In that time, her efforts have saved the Penyu Sea Turtle, the Maleo bird, the Flying Fox fruit bat and more. This film documents her grassroots efforts to use art, writing, crafts, theater and festivals to educate the native peoples of Tompotika on the island of Sulawesi, to love and cherish the amazing creatures that share their home.
