OTEGA

Set in rural Edo State, Nigeria Otega, a handsome and ambitious young boy will stop at nothing to achieve his ambition to school. Hawking daily to support his family and siblings couldn’t stop him as he engaged the services of an adventurous female young schoolgirl – Abike to help him achieve this ambition. Abike who comes from a middle working class family is a free spirit, happy to take advantage of Otega’s willingness to be her chaperon through her late returns from preparatory class.
OTEGA is a tale of two worlds, two motives and a tale of triumph.

Director Biography - Obi OKOLI (DGN)

Obi Okoli is a veteran Nigerian actor and movie director, known for his famous roles in the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) celluloid shoot of Chinua Achebe’s Book, Things Fall Apart in 1985 and his blockbuster movie Idejimba in 1994. He has over the span of more than three decades worked in the Nigerian Television and Film Industry, starred and directed over 200 films. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies in the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
