Shoshana Rosenbaum is a writer/director interested in stories that linger on the threshold of one genre, leaning into another. Her short film THE GOBLIN BABY resonates with some viewers as psychological and with others as supernatural – in both cases, an unsettling tale about a mother who believes her baby is a changeling. It won three 2015 Indie Capitol Awards, including Best Narrative Short, and an invitation to The Attic Lab, a feature development lab at Stranger With My Face International Film Festival. Her other screenplays have placed at the 2015 Nashville Film Festival Screenplay Competition, the 2015 Austin Film Festival Pitch Competition, and in the 2015 Spotlight on Screenwriters catalog.
The feature script AT THE EDGE OF THE WOODS is an expansion of my short film THE GOBLIN BABY. It was developed at the 2016 Attic Lab (Stranger With My Face International Film Festival), 2017 Stowe Story Labs retreat. Under its previous title (THE GOBLIN CHILD), it was named to the 2017 Bitch List.
