I am an aspiring film maker who has recently graduated Media Design School with a Bachelor of Art & Design (3D Animation and Visual FX). I have worked on multiple projects in a variety of roles including directing, visual effects and producing (one music video I produced was nominated for Best Metal Video at the Juice Awards in 2010). I also have other three years management experience within the cinema industry and a certificate in Applied Film Making for Film and Television.
I see my future in developing film and television for all audiences.
With Pug of War I wanted the film to have a fun story to be played out between two underdog characters with a dramatic backdrop of a battle ravaged city. I always liked the visual aesthetic of World War II Europe, and when our group was discussing story ideas with animals, I thought it was a great and unique opportunity to create an animal comedy set during this period. The team also agreed on a style of 3D generated characters against 2D painted backgrounds, which I thought amplified this contrast of fun characters and dramatic backdrop. It also presented an exciting challenge of creating something visually unique and testing ourselves at creating our first ever animated short film.
