Daniel Burkholz, born in Würzburg / Germany, is an award winning filmmaker. He first worked as journalist for newspaper and radio, as editor of a scientific magazine and also as photographer. Later, he worked in the fields of environment protection, education, civil rights, before he became a filmmaker. In 2005, he founded his company Roadside Dokumentarfilm. Since then, he is shooting and producing documentary films for cinema and TV. His films are succesfully presented on many international film festivals around the world.
