Director Biography - Lauren Swerdloff

Lauren River Swerdloff, is Spanish and Russian-American writer, director, and producer. For over seven years, Lauren has volunteered at the Hollywood Sunset Free Health Clinic and now serves on its Board of Directors. She is dedicated to sharing the inspiring and insightful stories of the Clinic's community, as they represent the power of grassroots non-profits in underserved neighborhoods.

She is currently writing a non-fiction book about the Clinic's revolutionary legacy, featuring Bob Suazo's heroic story as one chapter. The book will be released in July 2016.

Lauren is also a student at Columbia University, studying Human Rights with a specialization in Political Science and Latino Studies.
