John Moon (Writer/Director) has been directing and telling stories for more than 40 years. He completed his undergraduate degree at Hamilton College in upstate New York, and then spent the next ten years in New York City acting and directing. During that time, he completed his Masters in Directing at Columbia University and worked with such notable directors as Jerry Zaks, Liviu Ciulei, Andrei Serban and Howard Ashman. He also worked in the casting office of Joseph Papp's New York Shakespeare Festival.
From New York John moved to Chicago where he continued to work as a director and actor in several theatres before eventually returning to his hometown. In 1992, he joined TheatreVirginia as Associate Artistic Director and Dramaturge. He later moved on to Theatre IV (now VirginiaRep) where he served as Associate Artistic Director. From there John became a director and producer for Pyramid Studios creating unique media exhibits and short films for history museums across the U.S.
One of John's passions has always been developing new plays and he has worked in theatres across the country bringing new works to the stage. He has also been involved in developing plays by young playwrights and taught classes in the playwriting process.

John owns and operates LifeJourney Films, which produces videos for small companies and personal family histories. He is married to Abby Winship and they have two sons, Zac and Dylan. His IMDB page is: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2095801/
Most of us cling to the idea that we are in control of our lives, and while we do have a measure of control, there is also a world of possibilities available to us if we learn to see and reach for opportunities when life presents them. Often this means letting go of the image we have of ourselves, and simply saying yes to a new possibility. SMALL SIGNS is comedic fantasy about discovering the power of being open to the apparent randomness of life when confronted by some of the wonderfully mysterious choices thrown at us.
I hope you enjoy watching Ellen's journey as she learns to see the small signs all around her.
