Director Biography

Kuchi Films Director Sultan.M.Mohamad was born in Afghanistan and grew up in the Netherlands, where he completed his education prior to returning to Afghanistan in 2008. After working for one of the largest Afghan media companies, he decided to pursue a full time career in documentary film making and photography in 2010; thereby realizing his childhood dream. Through the establishment of Kuchi Films, Sultan pursues a philosophy that seeks to restore knowledge of Afghanistan’s vast cultural heritage amongst its people and the world, and to affect socio-cultural change in a country that has been suffocating under the veil of conflict for decades. Sultan is well versed in the countries arts, in particular its culture of tales and storytelling. Through frequent travel and various social activities, he keeps in tune with the pulse of the society within which he lives.
