Director Biography - Miah Artola

Miah Artola is a New York City artist of Nicaraguan descent. She creates single channel videos and multi-media installations which are interactive and incorporate her drawings and paintings. Miah is an established video editor and the founder of Artola Digital, a New York post production studio.

Miah co-created APE (audio peak etcher), a software which generates FXs and visuals from audio frequency and amplitude.

"Far Away" Part One is a departure from her usual art work. This documentary explores the mediated space between poetry and history.
