Experiencing Interruptions?

+ve Space

'+ve Space' is a musical documentary which shows Lahore (Akifa's native city), its historical historical architecture, culture, people and music tradition. This film is a travel diary about the journey of a German Trumpet player - Mr. Manfred to Pakistan, as he experiences the sights, sounds and flavors of Lahore and meets with the internationally renowned flutist Mr. Baqir Abbas. The common language of music and the unique difference of being a musician in European orchestra and meeting a Eastern musician from Pakistan brings together an enriching sensibility of music and life itself. The fusion of western and eastern music is a comment on how two different cultures and traditions can enrich each other.

Director Statement

All the films and theater productions that I have created have one common thread, that is, my concern for and critique of a society barely surviving due being a defunct system. The numerous issues that I address have a human angle which make the stories empathetic and emotive, pushing the viewer to think about the state of my country and its people. My creative drive is raising awareness through films ; highlighting social issues of the forgotten common man.
