Shikha Janet Alagh is a multifaceted film professional active in the field since 2013. Her work has earned numerous film festival nominations and awards, showcasing her skills in writing, direction, acting, editing, and production.
Produced under her banner SJA Productions, her films have been screened in cities across India and at international film festivals in London, Los Angeles, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Johannesburg, and throughout Europe. She has received awards for Best Film in Mumbai and Pakistan, Best Editor in Europe, and The Jury Award in Bangalore and Pune amongst others.
With profound knowledge of film theory including an array of Formalist, Realist and Classicist styles, Shikha is also a passionate film educator, teaching film at the undergraduate level for international curriculums in and out of India. She holds the position of Head of Film and Performing Arts at a prestigious international institution in Mumbai where she uses her leadership to expand the department through innovative productions and initiatives. She also works as a professional development instructor training faculty for Film under the International Baccalaureate, enhancing the educational experience of film and the arts at a global level.
