Macey grew up in Plano, Texas, with an early passion for art. After taking several after school classes about it, she tried out for Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and was accepted in. From the last years of high school she decided to become an animator and was informed of Ringling College after looking up future colleges. She was awarded the Dreamworks Scholarship upon applying for the college, and soon accepted to start her first year there. After four years of learning the basics for animating in 3-D, she had to tackle her senior thesis. Her film turned out to be overscoped even after several months of planning, so she had no other choice but to withdraw and try again the following year. This time, after passing required classes out of the way, she solely focused on her new film idea to start in the fall of 2015. It turned out successful! Her ambition for animation took a slight curve though, and now she enjoys 3-D modeling more rather than animating. Her ambition after graduating is to either be a freelancer for any given company that needs the position for modeling, or be a full-time employee under the same position.
"I love sci-fi, fantasy, and horror of every kind. I also love comedy because aside from horror, it gets the most reactions out of people. I combined the two into a short film of the wreck after the apocalypse where an Imp is dragged down by his lust for gold instead of returning home down below. The special effects used where hand-painted and were worked on post-render by me. I really enjoyed modeling the character and adding the glowing effects used throughout the film."
