Director Statement

I created the character of "Doug" about two years ago. At the time, I personally had conflicting feelings about the idea of happiness. It wasn't until about a year later when I actually wrote the story that I realized what truly made me happy. As cliché as it may sound, it was the little things. Doug is the cynic, the realist, the genuine soul in all of us that wants so little in life and yet asks for so much.
