Director Biography - Tom Barnett

Born and raised in Sheffield (UK), but not a stranger to traveling the globe on a shoe string budget. Tom began his passion for film-making in the stunting industry, working on sets such as 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' (2015) and many others international and at home.
In the last few years though, Tom has found him self directing his own short films a long side a talented local crew of other independent film-makers.

Director Statement

Shelter is an ambitious project from a fantastic script which was inspired by the BAFTA award winning 'Threads' (1984). We took ourselves from gorilla film-making to professional looking cinematic film-making, pushing the boundaries of anything we've done before and pulling in all our resources to give the script justice and create a great piece of short film cinema.
