The Skeleton Crew

TELLY is a religious stick-up boy, taking care of his GRANDMOTHER on the Southside of Chicago. He rejoins his old partner, VAL and his newest accomplice- a teenage, white, psychopath named BRONSON- for a score that could elevate their status in the criminal underworld.
They target BUNNY and his artist-turned-gunmoll named, IRIS after they themselves stole a large sum of money from The Spider- the Southside's mysterious and yet infamous kingpin.
The perfect robbery suddenly turns into a nightmare when someone is murdered. Now, Telly has to make a decision: become a rat to save himself and his Grandmother or face his murderous crew by himself.

Director Biography - Al Johnson

Born in the South Chicagoland area to working-class parents; Al Johnson grew up with a deep love for films. The first picture he ever saw was "Jurassic Park" and he was deeply effected by the sheer magic that the film possessed. As he got older, his obsession with films grew and he watched everything and anything that he could get his hands on.
Al didn't start making films however, until he was twenty-one during his first year at Columbia College Chicago. It was there that he discovered his raw passion, obsession and potential in the world of making movies.
Al went on to participate in Columbia's prestigious Semester in LA program during the Fall of 2017. He is currently residing in Los Angeles as he works on several new projects.

Director Statement

My name is Al Johnson. I make films not only because I have something to say but because they are fun. Filmmaking is universal. Everyone loves movies and the emotions that they can bestow upon us. A good film can touch anyone around the world. I want my films to have this effect.
I make Sci-Fi's, Epic Fantasies and Crime Dramas and my themes center around masculinity, mental illness, addiction, religion, society, love, friendship and honor. I believe in the beauty of manhood and I want to mainly convey this theme in my work. I also write about falling societies and how the bond between men and women can set things right again. I'm a big fan of history. I am fascinated with finding truth in the sands of time so that we as human beings can learn from our ancestors and grow from the lessons that they have taught us.
As long as I continue to draw breath, I will continue to make films for the voice-less and to keep creating unforgettable characters.
Thank you.
