Director Biography - Sharon Dillard

When I think back to my childhood, I can’t remember not coloring. I think that’s when the love for the arts began. Color is very important to me, whether its black and white or all the colors in the rainbow, I love it! I was always taught to follow my heart and I’m doing just that.
After moving to Atlanta in 2004 I quickly caught the acting bug. My work includes projects such as ATL, Stomp Da Yard; we are Marshall, and Daddy’s little Girls, as well as Meet the Browns just to name a few. My television career has kicked off on hits shows such as The House of Payne, and Mtv's YO Momma!
Never giving up on acting I turned my eye to making movies. My ongoing quest to learn all about the business of making movies I find myself loving behind the camera, which brings me to my school work. My piece form photography class called "Love in Black and White", are about this married couple that lives in low income houses that loves each other and don’t worry about the money in the bank. In a short film I did called "Thank Heaven" is about what may happen as a women finds out whether or not she’s expecting…again. My second short film called "Love after Death", a lady learns she has HIV, but finds love after.
Whether I’m shooting a film, doing photo shoot, or editing a footage. I think back to my childhood and the vision of me coloring pops into my head and I smile.
