To Meet Your Waterloo
The Napoleonic Wars are a time of keen interest to many historians, the battles of those times have no doubt shaped our world as it is today. However for some, it has shaped their world more so than you might believe.
Peter has a hobby that has stretched back for as long as he remembers, a hobby that for many is hard to understand, including his wife. Through a keen interest in the Napoleonic Wars and Napoleon himself, he began painting small Napoleonic figures when he was just a young man, now, soon turning 70 years of age, he looks to accomplish what he has been trying to do for all of those years, that being; to re-enact the battle of Waterloo.
This film looks at the story of Peter, his wife, their relationship, his hobby and their feelings towards it. Joining him in his family home in Wales, United Kingdom, it asks at what point does a hobby become an obsession?
