Born in Guilford England 1994.
When I first moved to California, only two years ago, one of my first projects was a music video. It began with all the regular rituals we have seen before: Man meets woman, woman gets captured, man rescues woman from evil villain. However, as time went by, this universal story and its relevance began to consume me.
I decided to play with the concept of life’s journey and duality. The possibilities of a multidimensional world having always fascinated me, I fermented my ideas here through a film set in the fantasy/sci-fi/western genre where reality is juxtaposed with an unknown hidden Universe.
The story is set in the Western Frontier of 1849, a time of global transition. Man’s greed for gold and technology is changing the world. However, what drives the characters in this story is where the fantasy element comes in. John and his nemesis Richard are both desperately seeking control of a sacred manuscript and two Universes collide.
During the production process, it was frustrating to see the market flooded with many films in the Western genre that fail to live up to the standard of their predecessors. My Western concept is grounded deeply in the hidden past of humanity, bringing the Fantasy genre full bore into a realistic Western Setting.
Although this film only gives hints to the complexities that exist within the alternate universe, it at least shows that the Western genre can be expanded and is not limited to its current boundaries. On a personal level, this film was a self-exploration, an expansion of my own consciousness and understanding of the universe.
I hope that what you are about to see is only the beginning of this labyrinth of worlds and genres.
