Director Biography - Rudi Goldman

My early work includes the production of many successful and award-winning television programs from Los Angeles, New York, London and Hilversum. In the mid-90s, I served as Director of Programming for Walt Disney company Buena Vista Productions in London.

Director Statement

Regarding documentary productions, I produced & directed the 1st ever documentary "Affair in the Air," about the annual Experimental Aircraft Association event at Oshkosh, Wisconsin, creating a critically acclaimed national television program for US Public Television.

Also from Wisconsin public TV, I produced and directed the "Aviary: Alwin Nikolais Dance Theatre" - Performance/documentary about the creation of this new work, produced for PBS. It won a Bronze Hugo at the Chicago International Film Festival.

I also produced & directed the documentary "Curtains Up: Broadway & London," comparing theatre in the West End & Broadway, winning the International Film & TV Festival of New York award for best documentary.

When working in New York, I directed "Sports Illustrated: The First 25 Years" Special with James Caan for HBO. The program won an ACE Award.
