Experiencing Interruptions?

SchnipSchnack

The image and sound are so inseparable that even when the sound is removed, you still experiences this sound in your mind. The clicking motion made by the hand, acts to keep time; slowing as the hand tires. The rhythm plays a background role - when the clicking sound ceases, Clustering Illusion perpetuates the sound. There is a dissonance between the timing of our hearing and external timing; I have exaggerated this dissonace in the video. The video desynchronizes and makes us aware of the fallibility of our time perception. The paradoxical aspects of time are highlighted by the counter in the corner that judders through time

Director Statement

My work is asking for Time-Perception. Time is fluxional, flexible, expandable, solvent... Slack and
movement are timeless matters. Attention. If you don`t go forwards you go backwards. To invent
alternative chronometers and ways to de/synchronize is driving my movements.
