Director Biography - David Pollak

David Pollak, a 19 year old Wilmette, IL native, has been writing, shooting, directing, and editing films of professional caliber since 5th Grade. Co-creating Americasian Productions, a successful production company with his friends, Pollak has crafted countless award-winning films of varying genres— action, drama, foreign language, comedy, documentary, promotional, noir, and more. Establishing his own distinct style, Pollak emphasizes the cinematography of his films— focusing on the framing of each shot. Self taught yet highly skilled, he has won Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Film, and more for his various works entered in the New Trier High School Film Festival. As always, Pollak hopes his audiences appreciate his films in their entirety as works of art.
