Director Biography - Tony Ogunyinka

Tony Ogunyinka grew up in Leeds, England and was raised by parents of English and Nigerian nationality. Tony has been a creative individual from an early age interested in all things design, art, and craft. He first became fascinated with filmmaking during his A-level Media studies. It was at this point that he began to take a more analytical look at films gaining a deeper understanding of visual storytelling and the theory behind it.

Upon leaving sixth-form Tony decided to move to London to get closer to the film industry and studied for a degree in BSc Film & Television Production at the University of Greenwich in which he graduated with First Class Honours. During his time at university, Tony undertook numerous productions both course related and with outside clients creating documentaries, short films, and music videos. At this stage Tony facilitated various roles including Director, Editor, DoP and Camera Op. Tony’s most proud Director/writer achievement to date is the TV Pilot ‘2024’ that was produced with a budget of just £2000 funded through 'kick-starter’.

Tony currently works as a camera prep technician at leading rental firm Ice Film where he seeks to gain further knowledge in the camera department before pursuing a career as a Director. Tony still spends time writing and developing scripts for the future.
