When a popular folk-rock band from St. John’s, Newfoundland makes their way to the Port Au Port, they discover a an amazingly talented fiddler, Emile Benoit, the band quickly realize the importance of recording his music. Emile now has a decision to make. Will he stay in his beloved home? Or will he leave, helping to preserve his culture and traditions by spreading his music to the world?

Director Biography - Michael Fenwick

Michael Fenwick has worked as an actor, director, writer and technician in theatre and film both in Newfoundland and Vancouver. Having produced many video projects for schools and community organisations, Michael decided to study film at college where he graduated at the top of his class. Since graduating he has worked for Sony Canada, the NFB, the CBC, CTV and Bell Fibre Op. Michael divides his time between producing industrial videos, writing and directing film projects, editing French documentaries and directing theatre.
