Director Biography - Alina Frieske

My name is Alina Maria Frieske, I was born 1994 in Aachen and I am studying visual communication at the Academy of Media Design and Technology in Maastricht. I like to work with the idea of collage, combining illustration, photography and film to a new unity. In this way I am constantly trying to blur the lines between something fictional and something realistic.

Director Statement

Wind Spiele is composed by its atmosphere. The film works in different layers of reality, memories and dreams. I want to tell a story without using a lot of dialogue. The protagonist describes her inner conflict with the help of gestures and body language. Surrounding, colour and movements are the components that describe the story in a more abstract way. By this I want to enable the viewer to relate to more personal situations and experience.
