Gus, a talented but underachieving comedian in Washington, DC, is faced with the prospect of having to start making some serious cash, or face eviction, starvation, and worst of all, the disapproving glare of his wife, Wanda, a federal-employee tired of supporting her husband's dormant dreams.

Just when a government cube job seems inevitable, Gus gets a tip on a major comedy gig on the other side of town from his best friend & manager, Frank, but halfway through the conversation, Frank's phone dies, leaving Gus to fend for himself. Having no choice, Gus heads out anyway. He's met with obstacles from the moment he steps into the hallway, but is determined to prove to the world that comedy is his destiny.
