Four Corners Short

Born in Middlesex London, Gideon graduated in 2008 at the International Film School of Paris. He has since directed four short films (Until Death do us Part, It’s No Game, Memorial and Infinity) all of which have gained critical success throughout the indie circuit.

Until Death do us Part was selected for the 2014 American Online Film Festival as well a being a selected finalist for the 2014 International Film Festival of Wales.

His third short film Memorial won the March 2014 short film competition for the prestigious website shooting people. It was also screened at the 2014 Portobello Film Festival and gained a special mention at a 2014 Industry Avenue Event in London. It was also recently screened in November 2015's Exploding Cinema Event.

Blackman's last short, the sci fi satire Infinity was screened at the 2015 Portobello Film Festival, being nominated for best Science Fiction Film. It also received a special invitation for the 2016 Science Fiction and Fantasy Film Fantasy Film Festival. It was screened at the 2016 Golden Sun Film Festival in Malta, as well as the 2015 Blackbird Film Festival and 2016 Wiper Film Festival's, both in New York. Most recently it has been selected for the Luma Bean Film Festival in St Louis, USA and 2016 TIF Video Challenge, Cyprus and a selected finalist for The 2016 International Open Film Festival, Bangladesh and a Finalist for the 2016 Tuzla Film Festival, Bosnia. Infinity was also nominated for best short film at the 2017 Limelight Film Awards as well as being selected for both the 2017 Ruby Tuesday Short Film Festival and 2017 Flyde Film Showcases, all in the UK.

Blackman also completed his first documentary feature, Four Corners Short, which documents the film making process for his short films, Until Death do us Part, It's No Game, Memorial and Infinity. It has already been selected for the 2016 Wiper Film Festival in New York, USA, 2016 Ekurhuleni International Film Festival in South Africa as well as being a finalist for the 2016 Industry Boost competition and nominated for best Feature Film at the 2017 Amazon Underground Film Festival in Portugal.
