Chris Trembath, a life-long resident of Hillsdale, NJ, has been involved in all aspects of filmmaking from his humble beginnings in the Super8 format to his more professional endeavors using 16mm film and now digital HD.
With a Bell & Howell DR-70, Trembath shot his first short, “The Foundation of Candlelight,” a commentary on the dissolution of the nuclear family. Trembath immediately followed up with “Case #13: The Search for Love,” a story about man who inherits a private investigation business from his recently deceased father.
With a Canon Scoopic MS, Trembath, along with fellow filmmaker Daniel Rankin, directed “Chump Change,” a story about a hapless man named Joe who gambles away a local crime boss’ fortune and must face the consequences.
With his latest endeavor "The Last Local" Trembath has ventured into the realm of digital cinema with a story concerning a young man who transcends the limits of time and space after being involved in a horrific car accident.
Dear festival curator,
I am humbled and thankful for your time in considering my short film, "The Last Local." As with any filmmaker, it was a labor of love and I am proud of the personnel who took part in its creation from the set designers to the actors. Without them, the film could not have been made. I will always be in their debt.
Please enjoy the film, I hope you find it entertaining and worthy of being included in your festival.
Thank you,
Chris Trembath
