Golden Brown Enterprizes was founded in 2009 by David Jarred and Kenton Brett. When we formed our partnership it was due to a mutual love of pushing boundaries in both ideas and craft. When we approach an art work ,whether it is an installation or a video, we want to make it intricate, beautiful and fun. By approaching our work with this attitude we have been able to consistently deliver art work that startles and captivates our audiences.
As you will see in our flagship work, Riptide Rhapsody, we make it our imperative to find ways to combine art forms that are often treated as unrelated such as drawing and video. This blurring of lines is where we often find our inspiration. Sometimes it can be an attempt to see the beauty in what is vulgar which was our aim with The (f)art Show. Other times it can be to blend a live theatrical experience with video in a way that enhances both forms such as our public installation, Dance Madness.
