Director Biography - Chris Crutchfield

Chris Crutchfield is a filmmaker, visual effects artist, and entertainer originally hailing from Charlotte, NC. He fancies himself a west-coaster now, having happily grown accustomed to healthy eating, people who take doing yoga very seriously, and dodging olympic sized potholes in his tiny Fiat (also ironic because he’s 6’7”). Professionally speaking, Chris has been on fire directing spots and content for well known clients like Google, Verizon, Lady Gaga, Magic!, Skechers, and more. He is also no stranger to narrative filmmaking with several award winning short films under his belt and viral web content. He loves to tell stories and is known for his artistically visual and often times musical approach to doing so.

Director Statement

When Desiree and Angelique came to me to be a part of the Not It team, I couldn't resist the natural chemistry they have and the light hearted comedy these girls bring out in their work. It's refreshing to see female creators who have a concept that goes beyond men and dating without the need to also try and be controversial. The concept of these two girls getting caught up in the mob was hysterical and I knew I could bring something to it visually that made this collaboration a no brainer. Ultimately, the cast as a whole was the magic behind it all. I just had to hit record and let them do their thing.
